Habitat and Birds

Located 9 mi SE of Molalla, the Molalla River Corridor is a scenic drive along the Molalla River. The surrounding forests abound with alder,  cedar, dogwood, Douglas-fir, hemlock, madrone, big-leaf maple and vine maple. Along the corridor, scan for Wood Duck, Ruffed Grouse, woodpeckers, American Dipper, Great Blue Heron, and the occasional eagle. In winter, check with the Bureau of Land Management about conditions before hiking the trails.
