This large park at the confluence of the Molalla and Willamette Rivers offers access to meadows, ponds, and mixed forests of cedar, Douglas fir, and maple. Watch and listen for kinglets, sparrows, and Western Meadowlark in winter, five species of swallows, migrant sparrows and warblers in spring, and waterfowl, including Wood Duck and Hooded Merganser on the ponds and rivers. Western Wood-Pewee, Brown Creeper, chickadees, and Purple Finch breed in the firs. Osprey nest along the river. A heron nesting colony is active in spring.
